Suzuki Jimny’s audio system anti-theft features

To prevent thefts, an audio system of the new Suzuki Jimny has an in-built protective feature. To clarify, your car audio system will not function if it is installed in another car (or after being disconnected from the car battery, for example, for replacement purpose) if you do not provide its Personal Identification Number (PIN) to enter.

Note, this anti-theft feature will run only if you have previously set the PIN.

How to set the PIN

Turn off the audio system, then do the following:

  1. Hold down the buttons 1 and 6 and press VOL PUSH PWR knob. “SECURITY” will be displayed.
  2. Press UP button and button 1 simultaneously.
  3. Enter a 4-digit number to be registered as PIN using buttons 1, 2, 3 and 4.
  4. Hold down TUNE/FLD knob for 1 second or longer to set the anti-theft function.
